Ready to curl up with a new book? Man that sounds especially good this time of year. I asked the Babble Panel what book they would recommend to a friend right now. Here are some of their responses. Hope you find a great one to escape in!
Green Creek Series by TJ Klune
I am currently reading the Green Creek Series by TJ Klune and when I say it is good, I mean it is 5 stars, call-in-sick-from work, cancel-all-plans good. The first book is called Wolfsong, and I beg you to read it. My husband who is not a reader in any way, shape or form asked this morning if we should stay home from work and just read. -Heidy
The Women by Kristin Hannah
My book club read The Women by Kristen Hannah. IT WAS SO GOOD!! Everyone in book club LOVED it. I read it in three days - three days that were crazy busy, but I just couldn't put it down. So SO GOOD! - Erika Affiliate Link

Yellowface by R.F. Kuang
Yellowface is about a young novelist who is so infatuated with her long-time literary ‘friend’ and obsessed with achieving literary fame and fortune herself, she’s willing to lie her way through every step of her life in order to attain it. She lives in a constant state of deceit and pushes forward at every step. The story is full of twists and turns and is such an unsettling sequence of events you’ll never want to put it down. It’s a quick, light read - very entertaining! -Erin Affiliate Link
The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah
This is the best book I’ve read in the last 2-3 years. It’s a story of sisters and bravery and strength. It’s has all the things: history, love, loss, bravery. It will stick with you.- Meghan Affiliate Link
Wrong Place, Wrong Time by Gillian McAllister
It's funny, I'm not 100% positive I want to recommend this book because it is making my brain hurt a little, but I can't stop thinking or talking about it, so I think that is a good sign. I just typically keep my nighttime reading to the most deliciously, easy reading material and this one has me thinking. (Don't worry, I don't just read romantic mush, but I usually listen to my "thinking" books during the day. At nighttime, I'm ready to tap out and zone off to sleep.)
This is a book about a mom who witnesses her son murder someone and then gets stuck in a time warp where she needs to figure out how to help him avoid the future, but she's the only one who knows what is happening. It came STRONGLY recommended to me by a mom friend who said it is the best book ever. Great, unique story to get lost in for sure. It just won't lull you to sleep. - Brooke. Affiliate Link
