Let's sexy up the least sexy place...our bathrooms. I've recently been introduced to some products that have really leveled up my bathroom and want to share that with just a few simple touches it is easy and worthwhile to give your bathroom the glow up it deserves!
The absolute number one (for your number two;) bougie item for your bathroom is a bidet. I feel strongly about this. After living in Japan I can't imagine life without one. The heated seat alone is worth this investment. Imagine instead of dreading a cold seat in the dead of the night in the dead of winter, you actually look forward to this cozy, comfortable experience. Of course you will never feel so clean as you will when you use the bidet. I really don't understand anyone's hesitation with trying it. It's like a little baby shower for these special places of your body and the alternative is well...shitty! An unexpected but wonderful benefit is the women's function. Great for after sex or during your period. You're just overall cleaner and more comfortable, and if there is ever another toilet paper issue like there was in 2020- you're all set.
I understand that setting it up might give you pause. All you need is an electrical outlet close to your toilet. If you have someone handy in your house they can easily do this or give an electrician a call and see how much they would charge to make this happen. I know it sounds like a big deal, but it really isn't (and you might already have a outlet nearby) and whatever you have to do, it is 100% worth it.
Half the toilets in our home have bidets and after using ours my mom now has one, so does my mother-in-law, my sister and multiple friends. We've even given them as wedding gifts! The bougiest of bathroom experiences for under $500. Make it happen. You'll wonder how you ever survived without one.
I wasn't super convinced about this, mainly because we have a small bathroom and it seemed like an unnecessary use of space, that is until my sister gifted me one for Christmas. My husband and I both love it! We just pop our towel in before we hop in the shower and it is nice and toasty by the time we're finished. I imagine it's even better after a bath. It really feels like you are in a fancy spa as you wrap yourself up in a warm bath towel. DREAMY!
Erika uses one too (below) and also puts her robe and blankets in it! Why haven't I thought of that?!
My friend RAVED about the Jolie Shower Head after she got one and I kept thinking, it can't be that great. Fast forward a year and I mentioned to my husband that our shower head needed cleaning. I guess he went to do it and decided it was time to get a new one all together. After he went down a shower head shopping rabbit hole he decided on the Jolie. I had no idea he had purchased and installed it until I went to shower and saw a new shower head. I spent that entire shower yelling to him how wonderful it was- the water just felt different. Better.
The Jolie is a filtered shower head that gives you healthier skin and hair. It removes chlorine and heavy metals from your water giving you less frizzy hair, softer and cleaner skin and can even help with breakouts and eczema. We are all spending a lot of products trying to help with all the issues I just listed, so why not stop them before they start by getting the crud out of our water so we don't have to deal with it in the first place? I'm loving mine.
Three decades later I am back in my retainer era. Ugh. Are your bottom teeth shifting too? Maybe you are someone who has to wear a mouth guard so you aren't grinding at night. Whatever mouth or dental device you (or your kiddo) find yourself using, you know they are gross and you know cleaning them can be complicated and it never feels like they are quite clean enough. This ultrasonic device takes all the guess work out of it. So easy- you just toss it in there, hit the button which gives it an ultrasonic cleaning for 3 minutes (or you can choose from different options and settings), and you know it's clean and you just dump the water, refill from your sink and it's ready to go again for the next day. Really this is a super smart buy for your pre-teen/teen that has to wear a dental device. I don't even want to think about the cleanliness of it if left to their own accord.

My yoga teaching friend Jenelle turned me onto this one. She (and now I) put it on BEFORE the shower by massaging it into the skin and then just letting the water run over it as you shower. When I do this I don't lather up with soap, so I obviously don't do this if I'm super sweaty or dirty, but for most days, this totally elevates my shower/skin experience. I love not having to use lotion after the shower. Just towel off (with my warm towel from my towel warmer of course) and slip into my clothes. MMmmmmmMMMMmm

This is definitely a bougie bath product and I love it!! This shower oil transforms my shower into a spa experience! It goes on as an oil and transforms to a lather, it smells amazing, leaves my skin so soft, and makes me feel pampered! It is a treat to use!

I love that they have come up with really cute ways to have your makeup on your counter and on the ready! Real-life solutions! Plus they come in a lot of gorgeous colors and rotate completely around. You can get it to match your make-up holder above and it is such a cute way to organize and update your makeup situation.
My girl Kali knows baths and this is a must have if you love long baths like she does. I love that it has a spot for your kindle, tablet or book, phone, drinks, snacks, beauty products, you name it! All at your finger tips!
It’s small (so either doesn’t take up much space on a vanity or can fit in a drawer or cupboard easily). There are 3 light options and brightness settings. Cordless (rechargeable). And the magnifying side is just the right amount of close up.

A PLANT! Even if its hanging. I have a plant on my toilet, a hanging plant, and 2 potted plants in my bathrooms...I think they are essential! We love this set of three self watering macrame plant holders. Self watering is extra awesome for a tough to water indoor hanging plant. Think ahead!
I love the air plant on a little tray on my counter - I think a plant adds so much to any room. Who knew you could order a live air plant from Amazon?!

Also not bougie looking at. all. but will truly give you the best shits of your life...the Squatty Potty. I have been to a pelvic floor doctor who said everyone should have one. After hearing how strongly she felt about it- I bought one that day. They are not expensive, but they also aren't the cutest. I recently just purchased two more because both of my boys are converts. We love it. It really does make a difference. Definitely get one, probably not for your cute guest bathroom, but for wherever you're going #2 the most.
