I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Kelly Corrigan's Wonders podcast is so good. She is one of my favorite authors and I will take the time to talk more about her books soon, but today I'm focused on her podcast. Specifically one episode that is only seven minutes long, but has left an impact on me for how it describes the deep emotion of letting your kids go off on their own adventure. Seems appropriate for this time of year.
Kelly does a short podcast called Thanks for Being Here and they are a beautiful reminder how we affect each other and of what really matters most in life. Each week she reads a submission from one of her listeners, could be wedding vows, a toast, eulogy, etc.
This Thanks for Being Here entitled "The Drive to Oregon" was written by Tim Vasquez about sending his son off to college. Take a listen here, but have your Kleenex box handy.

Sending my love to all the moms and dads going through this big transition. My eyes well up with tears just thinking about it, and thankfully I still have four years to go.
