My friend recently took the plunge and got a Kindle Scribe and is very much enjoying it for taking notes, jotting down to-do’s, essentially using it for anything you’d use a paper notebook or planner for. There are tons of document formats included so you can choose what kind of doc best suits any given need.
Similar to the ReMarkable, Kindle offers their own version of a digital notebook. This might be the perfect Father's Day gift if you have the type of dad that likes technology, but is still stuck using a paper and pen.
I chose this over the ReMarkable not only because the price was more friendly, but because I liked the feel of writing on it better than the ReMarkable.
Other great things: It can hold everything in my kindle library. It has great ease of use.
Not so great things: There isn’t a way to send yourself documents from the Scribe. You are able to send things to and from your kindle app (which will then appear on your crib or your kindle or the kindle app on your phone), but as of now, there isn’t a way to email yourself a document or upload it to a cloud service. -Heidy
A family member of ours has this very machine and it is the hit of every get together! Everyone loves ice cream and this makes a great Father's Day gift because it is something your husband and kids (and you) can all enjoy together as a family just in time for the summer ice cream season! To help get you started, here is our favorite Vanilla Ice Cream recipe to use with this machine.
Vanilla Ice Cream
Ingredients:
1 cup milk
½ cup sugar
pinch salt
2 cups heavy cream
1 TBS vanilla
Directions
Use a whisk to blend milk, sugar and salt until dissolved. Stir in cream and vanilla. Blend in ice cream maker for 20 min.
