Halloween Memory Tree

This is one of my most treasured possessions. For real. I've laid awake at night and thought about what I would run around to grab if our house caught on fire, and this makes the top of the list as silly as that is. I think it's just because it has so many of my favorite memories in one spot AND I put in a lot of hours, and more hot gluing than I've ever done in my life, to create this. I look forward to putting this up, reliving those cute Halloween memories, and displaying it all of October. It's also so fun to hear the reactions when we have friends over.

I started this project when my kids were little and I was in the height of my Pinterest era, and I would definitely do it differently if I were to begin it all over again today. Back in the day, I ordered wallet sized photos through Snapfish and then hot glued them into little Halloween themed frames that I got at Michaels, one on each side, so my frames are two-sided. When I hot glued, I added a little ribbon loop at the top to be able to hang them from. This took me about a month after Halloween to complete all of the steps.

You could start this project at anytime, even if your kiddos are grown and flown, and just choose a favorite photo or two from each year and then order a small ornament through a Snapfish or Shutterfly service, cut out all the crafting time, and have a gorgeous Halloween Memory Tree.

Speaking of trees, I finally found a little Fall tree (which is filling up quickly with all of my favorite memories) that I really like. I used to have a spooky black tree that I used and perhaps my most favorite was when I would have my husband get a bare branch from the backyard and put that in a pot to use. Looked awesome and nothing to store! Lots of options and I've laid out some of my favorites to help you get started on creating this fun and festive time sake.

Here are some of my favorite Halloween Memory Tree options to purchase from Amazon.

This one is most similar to mine although it does have LED lights. Is is 2 feet tall. Associate Link.

I always love a white birch tree and this one would transition perfectly to Thanksgiving and Christmas as well. You can see how I transition my black one to a Thanksgiving Thankful Tree here. I love this particular one because it is 4 feet tall so you really have some room to do a lot with it. Associate link.

This is the one I would purchase (and might) if I could start all over again. As you can see, my tree is FULL! This one gives such a fun Fall Festive vibe and again would transition perfectly for the Thanksgiving Thankful Tree. It is 6ft tall! Affiliate link.

These are the frames I used and I loved this brand which became harder and harder to find over the years. All of the options below would be a lot more classy and you would need a lot less hot glue...as in none.

I LOVE these gold frames- so gorgeous and you could do a front and back photo so really you are getting 8 images with these. Affiliate Link.

I fell in love with these too- I love the hanger and ease of these. Classy, yet on brand for Halloween. Affiliate Link.

These are great too and you could just get some orange, yellow or black ribbon to get into the Fall vibes. The picture is where the real magic is- these would be great! Associate link.
