We All Want 'Nobody Wants This' and We Actually All Want Her Mom's Fashion

So we have all binged Nobody Wants This on Netflix. We are all relating to and girl crushing over Kristen Bell and have all appropriately resurrected our collective crush over Adam Brody, so now let's talk about the fashion.

Like you, I am mad crazy for every. single. outfit. that Kristen Bell's character, Joanne, wore. Like really. How cute is she and how effortlessly cool and stylish and 100% unique?! Loving it all day.

However, I really realized my age (a young 45) when I identified MORE with Stephanie Faracy's character, Lynn, who plays HER MOTHER! This was an eye opener for me. I usually identify more with who I see as the cute, sexy younger ladies, but this time, my middle age was showing. First of all, I currently have the same haircut and glasses as Momma Lynn. Like, I actually look more like her. Secondly, even in my 20s, in the height of my rocking body era, I could've never pulled off this shirt below. There was a lot of midriff outfits happening that unfortunately have never been meant for me in this life time.

I definitely wasn't planning to identify more with Lynn, nor was I out to fangirl over her style and fashion sense, but I started to notice it more scene by scene where I was loving (and found myself googling) everything she had on. Her style was more realistic for me while still being really unique and fun.

Below is a collection of my most favorite Momma Lynn fashion moments from Nobody Wants This and I have researched both a Splurge and Save option of each piece so we can all find our inner Lynn.

Pink Silk Scarf

This is when her fashion first caught my eye. I am deep in a serious neck scarf phase and I loved how she had this gorgeous silk scarf just casually draped over a plain gray sweater (or sweatshirt?!) and also loved her tiered necklace. What a great everyday outfit!

Splurge:

$555

This is just plain pretty. Soft, silky and could be worn so many ways.

Save:

$20

I love the pinky color of this one especially paired with a soft grey like she was wearing. So girlie and so sophisticated.

Tiered Necklace

As pictured above, and throughout the show, on multiple characters. I am glad to see these tiered necklaces are not on their way out! This resurrected my love of the multi-layered necklace that I thought had maybe seen its time.

Splurge:

$140

Ohhh the pretty simplicity of this layering necklace!! Pairing with everything on repeat.

Save:

$15

I liked the vintage look and customization of this one.

Floral Billow Sleeve Blouse

This. This right here is when she really got her fashion hooks into me. I mean how fun and perfect is this blouse from the office to a date night? I would love to pair it with some wide leg jeans and boots! The billowy sleeves really make this a unique and special piece.

Splurge:

$144

This is so feminine and I love the big floral print! I would love to dress this one up with some black pants (I just caught myself wanting to say slacks- am I aging myself again?!) or over a black silk dress!

Save:

$29.99

This is so playful and really feminine and classy with such a silky fabric (if you button it up one or two more). Such a pretty design.

Here were some others in the running for the Save category. Every single one of these you click on takes you to endless amounts of patterns. I loved each of these for different reasons and think they would be so fun to wear! It's the puffy sleeve detail that does it for me.

Floral Kimono Cardigan Shirt

She really had me with this one. I think this was when I knew I had to Babble about this character's fashion. I have always had a thing for anything remotely in the kimono family since our time living in Japan. They are so gorgeous and so unique and stylish. True story, I spent hours in Kyoto this summer looking for something VERY similar to this and got too picky and came home without anything. I love the bright color and silky fabric of the one Lynn is wearing.

Splurge:

$350 currently on sale for $175

I am drooling over this. I want to pair it with jeans and heels for every girl's night out dinner for the rest of my life.

Save:

$20

So many fun patterns to choose from. I love the length and casual easiness of this elevated look. For this price I can get a couple and truly wear these with jeans and heels for every girls night out for the rest of my life.

Here are three others I just couldn't resist to give you (us/me) options in the Save category:

Bold Print Button Down Blouse

Yet another bold printed blouse (there were even more on the show not included here). Her style was interesting with a lot of whimsy, color and prints. She looked like a class act, but also the woman you would wanted seated next to you at a charity dinner.

Splurge:

$591

Well isn't this silk shirt luxurious and there is a matching skirt too?!

Save:

$11 on Clearance

Singing spring to me! So light and cute!

Black Statement Glasses

Again, maybe showing my age, but reading glasses are no longer just a fun, pretend fashion accessory as I am firmly in my 40s now, they are a staple. I love a bold set of glasses and I love that she wears this same pair (like normal people) in each scene.

Splurge:
