So you finally caved and spent the $8 on another streaming service, Peacock, so you have access to all of the Olympic events. Me too.
Now to take advantage (before we cancel it again) let's Babble about some of the other shows and content we want to hit up while we are Peacock streamers. Below is a recap of some of Streaming Sister's top Peacock hits we don't want to miss.
Obviously. That's why we're all here right? Olympics hub is great, commercials still stink and it's not clear who the commentators will be (some NBC, others international) but overall easy to navigate. All I know is we want more Snoop and Phelps! Also, where’s Tara and Johnny? I know they're Winter Olympic skaters but they are Olympic gold!
The Amy Winehouse bio picture of a life lost too soon. Focusing on her tumultuous relationship with Blake, definitely worth a watch. Especially just to relive her hits!
Based on the novel, this real-life story of Lali Sokolov looking back at his experience of tattooing arrivals at Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp is actually a love story above all. Starring Jonah Hauer-King, Anna Prochniak and Melanie Lynskey – you will find yourself lost in the here and now and the flashbacks that are so beautifully filmed.
Streaming Sister Thoughts: Did I have a crush on Jonah during this? Yes. Did I have a crush on him in the live version of The Little Mermaid? No. What’s wrong with me?
For those of you living under a rock (Babbling Brooke herself) this is a great introduction to Gypsy and the crimes committed against her as well as those she initiated. Everyone loses.
I don’t care what anyone says, Paris Hilton entertains me and the fact she didn’t tell her mom she had a baby for over a week is pure Paris.
Did you watch The Lord of the Rings and lean over to your sister and ask, “Do I have a crush on an elf?” No? Just me? Okay so Orlando Bloom might’ve been a teenage crush of mine, but this is a very different side of him. This is a docuseries following Bloom on a journey to push himself – physically and mentally in three different scenarios. Great option for kids who might benefit from seeing someone push themselves beyond what they think is possible. I loved it. Also great cameos by Katy Perry.
Annette Bening, Sam Neill, Jake Lacy…pretty fun cast. This was up and down adventure for me. Started strong, then it felt like it was never going to end, then picked back up. Based on Liane Moriaty’s book (Big Little Lies, Nine Perfect Strangers), a family obsessed with tennis and the secrets of the past. Not the best thing I watched, but definitely had some twist and turns.
Anthony Hopkins. Not sure what else but checking it out and reporting back.
